How do I establish my legal capacity as the debtor's representative?

To act on behalf of a debtor, you must submit a valid authorisation or power of attorney explicitly referring to Cepal and clearly specifying the actions you are authorised to perform on behalf of your client.

You may issue an authorisation electronically through Gov.gr («Authorisation») or use the authorisation template certified by a Public Authority or Citizen Service Centre (KEP).

Submit the authorisation to exousiodotiseis@cepal.gr or through the e-Cepal portal.

You may submit your request through any of the following channels:

For exceptional communication cases between lawyers and Financial Institutions, the General Secretariat for Private Debt Management offers access to the myEGDIXlive platform through the service «General Debt Management Information». Through this service, communication issues are recorded and subsequently forwarded by email to the relevant Financial Institution.

When booking an appointment through Gov.gr, lawyers are required to complete the «Brief Description» field, providing both their contact details and a summary of their request.
